IMPORTANT REMINDERS
*ALL STUDENTS NEED A JACKET ON FOR RECESS
*students started copying their homework in their green "H" notebook... Please always check the website for clarification as well.
*Snack money must be kept in student's lunchbox or if they don't bring a lunch box in their green folder*
*All students should have a grade level silent reader with them in class every day.
*Just a reminder about birthday celebrations- Please send me an email or note a week in advance so that I can approve the snack. We have peanut and red dye allergies in our classroom.
HOMEWORK: Tuesday, March 19, 2024
1. ELA read for 15 min- start to review vocabulary for "Have You Heard the Nesting Bird". Do worksheet
2. Math- start to review for topic 7 test Thursday including number words- look over lesson 7:1 to see how the number word will be asked. Also on google classroom under MATH is a chart of number words. Do wbpgs. 105-106
3. Religion- Review for Lent-Triduum test tomorrow (blue dot and they are on google classroom)
4. Please remember that you need to email me or write a note to me directly if your child is going home a different way than their usual way even if the person is listed on the emergency contact form. Thank you for your cooperation.
5. Tomorrow our class will go to the 8:30am Mass. Please be on time. We will also line up in the classroom tomorrow morning and NOT the gym.
6. BOLD food drive- 100% participation and the most items wins a dress down- LET's GO FIRST GRADE!!!!!

Student are being taught to solve word problems by using a number line: counting back for subtraction and counting on for addition., they also have been using manipulatives such as cubes as counters, and recently number bonds. Please reinforce those strategies at home.

10. snack & water is sold daily at lunch and on 1/2 days $1.00 each-if you choose to bring in your own snack, it must be PEANUT FREE students should not be bringing in lunch bags on 1/2 days- only if they are aftercare.
11. Please keep seperate water bottles for lunch in lunchbag and one for class out of lunchbag. Parents please check water bottles as we are having many spills in the classroom.
12. Just to remind you students are not allowed to wear their jackets in class...ONLY SCHOOL FLEECE or SCHOOL SWEATER- NO SCHOOL HOODIES. Please refer to the school handbook uniform policy. I ask that you PLEASE label all fleeces, gym sweatshirts, and sweaters with your child's name in them.
13. If your child is attending the Catapult Math and ELA afterschool enrichment program, I need to have a note or email. If I don't receive, your child will go home as scheduled or to aftercare.

Welcome back!
I am so happy to have you in my class this year. We are going to have an amazing time and work together as a TEAM to ensure that this year is productive and memorable. 9. Please check their “H” book every night as we begin to introduce copying. I will write notes in their book as well if need be.
10. If your child is absent, and you are requesting to pick up homework, it will be left at the office at 2:45… not before. If it is going home with another student in the classroom or building, please call the office and let them know.
11. Please check website every night as well as "H" notebooks. Our google classroom is informative as well. Please use it.

*Purple TEST FOLDERS- go home every Tuesday and you must sign the front sheet. Empty papers out on the "AT HOME" side and return papers on the "RETURN TO SCHOOL SIDE."

BIRTHDAYS:
will be celeberated at lunch/recess time. Treats can be sent in. They must be peanut free, tree nut free and wheat free. They also must be individualy wrapped (in original packaging) you may make goodie bags but they will not be allowed to be opened in the classroom for safety. They will be sent home in the student's backpack.
